Our Committees:

• Events – Plan and facilitate smaller, unique member experiences such as community events, baseball games, family events, and meet ups. The Events Committee also leads planning for YYP’s annual Foot Rally and large scale events like New Year’s Eve.
• Marketing – Promotes YYP’s mission by publicizing events and activities, developing marketing materials, and managing the organization’s website and social media accounts to increase awareness and engagement.
• Membership – focuses on growing and engaging YYP membership by recruiting new members, supporting renewals, coordinating member outreach, and maintaining membership records.
• Outreach – Coordinates volunteer opportunities and charitable initiatives that give back to the York community. The committee plans service projects and partnerships that support local causes and make a positive impact.
• Partnerships – Builds and maintains strategic relationships with community partners, sponsors, and YYP members to strengthen collaboration and support YYP initiatives.
• Social – Plans and coordinates YYP’s monthly Third Thursday social events, creating welcoming spaces for members to connect and network.

While our median member age hovers between 25–35, we believe “young” is a mindset, so there is no age limit!

No! Membership is open to those who live in, work in, or just love York County!

York Young Professionals is dedicated to giving back to the community we call home. Throughout the year, YYP members organize donation drives to support local nonprofits, participate in community events like Bell Socialization’s Bed Race and Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and roll up our sleeves for community clean-up days and volunteer activities. We also provide monetary donations to local nonprofits, helping to strengthen the organizations that make York a better place to live, work, and play.

Yes! Your first Third Thursday Social is on us — come check it out and see what YYP is all about before becoming a member. It’s a great way to meet new people, connect with local professionals, and get a feel for our community. YYP members are also encouraged to bring a different guest to each social, so there’s always someone new to meet!
