About this event
Join the York Young Professionals in November for our annual meeting! This annual meeting is sponsored by Better York and is open to the public. The Annual Meeting includes a vote for the 2024 YYP Board as well as a $500 donation given to a charity with the most votes.
Soda, water, and wine will be provided by YYP and be available for members and guests. Brewery products will also be providing their classic mix of beers. Don’t forget to register! This is a sit-down dinner, and no door registrations will be allowed. All attendees will need to register in advance. Only members in good standing are able to vote.
DREAMWRIGHTS CENTER FOR COMMUNITY ARTS
We will be at DreamWrights Center for Community Arts for our annual meeting. DreamWrights is a non-profit organization founded in 1997, created by a group of families who believed that participation in a quality theatre education would have a profound and valuable impact on their children. DreamWrights offers camps, classes, and full-scale productions for children and adults of all ages. DreamWrights offers many opportunities in the creative arts, from acting to designing sets to crewing and stage managing, so whether your passion is being center stage or behind the scenes, DreamWrights has what you are looking for! We will also be taking a tour of DreamWights for any member or guest who would like to explore.
SKILLET2PLATE SOUL BISTRO
Back by popular demand! Skillet2Plate Soul Bistro will be catering our annual meeting again in November. In February 2022, Skillet2Plate cut the ribbon for their new home on Philadelphia St. In 2021 and 2023, Skillet2 Plate won the best of the best award for York County. So if you’re looking for the best soul food in York, look no further and come have dinner with YYP as we vote on our new board for 2024!
SHOWTIME TRIVIA
We thought we would change it up a bit for this annual meeting, so we are offering trivia for members and guests! Showtime Trivia offers trivia in PA, MD, and DE and does trivia locally at popular restaurants like Archetype Pizza, The Sherwood Inn, Granfalloons, Holy Hound, etc. Trivia will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m., with YYP announcements and nominations in-between.
JAZZ NIGHT
Stick around after Trivia and dinner and network with fellow YYP members while listening to some smooth jazz from a local musician to end the night. Jazz will be played from 7-9 p.m. Feel free to take a tour at this time or just enjoy the great music.
SPRUCE’D UP!
Keep an eye out for our tree at the annual meeting and pick up a wish list for December if you would like to donate! York Revolution is hosting “Spruce’d Up!” a celebration of trees presented by Traditions Bank. This is a free public event and will feature dozens of live trees sponsored and decorated by local businesses and organizations in a contest to benefit area non-profits.
